Spillshop provides a comprehensive range of chemical spill kits available in a wide range of packaging. Basically, there are three main options to choose from, portable by hand, wheeled or static. The portable options range from 15 to 60 Litres in size. The smaller capacity kits mainly come in either transparent clip-close carry handled bags, hard carry cases, shoulder bags or bins. Apart from the bins, the others can easily be wall mounted at spill 'hotspots' for quick deployment. The wheeled spill kits are available in capacities from 65L to 1100L are ideal for a central location and easily wheeled to the site of a spillage. The static spill kits are available in spillage capacities between 125 Litres and 600 Litres. These are best sited near to spill 'hotspots' although some may be moved to a spillage by forklift.
All the chemical spill kits come supplied with the bare essential items including spillage pads and socks, disposal bags & ties and a contents & instruction sheet. The multiples of bare essential items increase as the size of kit increases. Moreover, other items start to be introduced such as absorbent rolls and absorbent cushions. The absorbent cushions have a large thirst for larger spills whilst the rolls can be torn to size depending on the spread of the spill. Some of the kits come supplied with their own drain protection in the form of drain seals, a cover that can be placed over open drains to prevent spillages entering watercourses or drainage systems. Mid-range kits and higher come with caution tape to cordon off a spillage site, whilst the largest kits come with an option of purchasing a plastic non-spark shovel to assist with the largest of spills.
All chemical spill kits from Spillshop are clearly marked 'chemical' to avoid any potential confusion. Indeed most of the larger kits are packaged in highly visible bright yellow waterproof containers.
